I need to replace a bad auto transmission in my 1995 3.0l 4x4 4Runner. It appears that the transmission in this vehicle is unique to the 2nd generation 4Runner, and is called a A340F. I'm searching for a used transmission and need to be able to identify the trannys being offered. Is the ID tag on the transmission a useful identifer to determine the model and year? My bad tranny is a model 30-80LE and the serial number is S/N 95G S 02491. Does the 95 (in the S/N) identity it as a 1995 production transmission? thanks in advance from a newbie to this board.
