3rd Gen. Rear Speaker Simple Swap

Hi All!

I would like to upgrade the rear speakers in my 98 4Runner to something with better sound. I have the stock stereo system. Any suggestions on a simple swap that doesn't require cutting, welding , or the like.

Thanks

Go to crutchfields website and do a what fits to find out what your stock speakers are and then decide how much you want to spend and buy some speakers, I am a big fan of Boston speakers for the money they are tough to beat.

I would suggest upgrading the front speakers first, rear speakers are basically for rear fill. Lots of custom cars remove the speakers all together.

You should be able to fit any 4" or 5" speaker in the rear. Keep in mind though that you will loose some bass, since for some reason Toyota speakers produce more bass than aftermarket speakers.
