As long as your brake lights light up red and your turning lights light up red amber orange or yellow you are OK. You would have to have colored bulbs if you had these to keep it all legal. Like the new Lexus RX330... clear housing, colored bulbs.

White SR5, you are correct for turn signals, however not for tail lights/brake lights.

It all hinges on the definition of "red". The color red is defined by SAE Standard J578c, which is not met by red colored bulbs with clear lenses.

 

How do they define the new Lexus RX300 lights? Those things look like completely clear till they light up but of course that may be allowed on thet vehicle since it was cleared by govt. standards.

 

if you look at the rear bumper on the rx330 there are red reflectors just like the 4th gen runners.i'm thinkin what makes the 3rd gen clear tails legal to sell is that they sell them w/ the phrase " for off-road purposes only".
