3rd Gen CV Boot/Joint

Anyone had any problems with a 3" lift with a 1" diff drop? Ive leaked a fair share of grease out of it, but it has seemed to stop and no problems.. Anyone know the life on this before it goes bad? Just a lil heads up for down the road. Thanks.

So to get this straight...

You've lifted 3" with a 1" diff drop and as a result you've leaked out some grease.
Since then it has stopped leaking?

If this is correct than I'd say you should probably repack the boot (assuming there are no tears). Better to take this preventative step than to find out later that the only reason it stopped leaking was because there was none left to leak out.

I agree with Taco Dude !!! it would be way cheaper to either repack your cv's oand or replace your boots that replacing youe cvj's all together.......once theirs either no grease or dirt in the CVJ's , it's only a short time that their wasted and clicking or worse case locking up or Breaking completely...

well its been like this for about 3 months now, there is no clicking or sign of wear on the cv boot. A buddy of mine told me the angle isnt bad at all and that the grease that leaked out was just because they are old cv boots and they were not used to being on that kind of angle and that it spit some of the grease out.. I doubt its all out. But ya, prevenetive steps are the way to go, but when I was looking at repacking them, I was told jusdt to open the outer boot(dont know how) and put a screwdriver in on an angle and shove a grease gun in it... I really tried to take a look at it but I coudlnt figure it out.. anyone have a faq on repacking 3rd gen boots? i would do it if i knew how.
