Clear Lights? Fender Flares? Those rims look big, the truck is scratch and dent free as far as I can tell, there are no tree smashers or major tow points that I can see either.. This is an OFFROAD forum in case everyone forgot..

If the truck is made for street, then it should be said to avoid such misunderstandings in the least.

Do you get any flex with that set up? It looks like you would need PLENTY of trimming.

Haters.

got ALOT of fender flare requests. i've already ordered them everbody, no worries. this is most definitely NOT a pavement queen. i'm not getting big bulky bushwackers, just a small flare, i kinda like the covered in mud look. i also am getting a JAOS bullbar and making brackets for shackles and welding them on the hitch. as you can see, my hook in the front is toast. trail pics will be soon, had to replace the valve stem on the front tire today. also i had to cut the wheel wells and do some fender trimming today, pics also to come soon. this gives it a little more flex, but not trying to remove the sway bar. it'll get stuffed. truthfully, i don't care about the paint, i hate red. i just bought the 97 as an IFS challenge. (i hate it, this is gonna have an SAS in the future no doubt)

lexus v8 in the future or chevy 350? whadya think?

from the newer pic, tires don't look like they stick out as much as I had originally thought. How far out are they from the fenders?

Ok, so it was as much as I had thought, lol. Even with flares on my truck, I'm still out a 1/2-1" past the flares. Since my Toy looks just like all the others, local PD hasn't stopped me for it but if I were to take the flares off, I'd be seeing lights all day.

i would have to agree with you for the most part, but some places if your tires stick out too far you can get ticketed, and like it or not, but unless its a dedicated trail only rig it spends most of its time on the road. fender flares also protect the paint and the paint helps block rust. not everybody that wheels their truck is hardcore. but clear corners and things like that dont belong.

thats exactly why i'm getting flares. i've been lucky for the past 2 days sitting this wide. after having to pay for a not so smart ticket and repairing the tranny after getting stuck up to halfway up my door, i can't afford another one.

But thats where individuality comes into play. Clears look great on some trucks, on others it looks out of place. I put clear lights on the back of my truck just because I could. Turns out, the brake lights are much brighter now and so are my backup lights, so I gained something out of it.

I think the clears would look pretty sharp on the Red 4runner. If I had it, I would throw them on there.
