33x12.5x15" on 15x7's?
Will 33x12.5x15" tires fit on 15x7's? I bought a set of 33's the other day on Chevy rally wheels....back ones fit great, but front ones won't fit over hubs! Im pretty sure the chevy's are 4" and mine are 4 1/4" ? Anyways, im running the old 31's with the 16" rims in the front and the 33's on 15" wheels in the back. It looks a little weird, but the ride is a hell of a lot better compared to the old cracked/hard tires on the 16's. I cant imagine how it will ride, if i can get the front ones on too....So, if anyone has a set of 15's that will take 33x12.5x15 tires for sale, let me know. I have my 16" rims/tires and my stock 15" rims/tires for trade, if anyone wants them...Im in Sacramento. Thanks.

dont touch 4x4 until you get the same size tires on all the wheels......
the general rule is 4" eitehr way of the tire size.... physically a 12.5 will fit on a 7" rim but its not very good, will wear funny too very quickly....

The 15" rims up front won't fit over the calipers... the calipers toyota put on trucks with the 16" wheel package are larger than the ones for the 15" wheels.
Yes, 33/12.5-15s will fit on 15x7 wheels - that's the setup I'm running.

I'm from Sacramento too, I live just north of Elk Grove. I was thinking of going out to Prairie City again, but won't be able to this weekend. We have a 97 4Runner SR5 4x4 5sp with stock 15" wheels, (running 235s instead of 225s though). I have been considering upsizing to 16" wheels, but I figure I could just go with larger tires on my 15s as well. I don't know how well the 3.90 gears would do going from 29" tires to 31" tires though...I know trucks that came stock with this size tire probably have the 4.1 or 4.3 gears.
Anyways, didn't mean to hijack the thread, just wanted to let you know there's more of us from Sac around here.

I was just letting Jacksonpt know te by me stating that i have my "stock 15" rims for trade...implies that my current 16's are'nt stock.....lol. I remeasured the difference in hub clearance, and the Chevy's are actually 3 3/4" and not 4"....Like i originally thought.
Would it affect the integrity of the wheels too much, to take the difference out? Since the wheels are basically useless, i already took the Sawzall to em and widened the hole just for experimental purposes....And it leaves about 5/16" between the lug holes and the center hole. When i get the other done, im slapping em on there and driving it till they crack through or show some sign of added stress or unpredictability. Just wondering if anyone has done this, or if its already been done and failed?
Thanks guys

i wouldnt wanna risk loosing a wheel while driving...it happened to me just recently, lucky, i didnt flip or anything bad happen, but just keep in mind what can happen if the wheel breaks while on the freeway, or taking a turn, or anything like that...

Yah, i plan on being as precautious as possible. Any sign/noise/visual abnormality and they're off. Still a gamble, but i feel its worth the shot.
They're made by Chevy!! lol aahhhhh, What am i thinking! jk
Dont worry, I didnt do a hack job on em with the Sawzall...I just used the overly powerful peice of machinery with the biggest tooth blade i could find, zipped them holes out a lil bigger in 10 seconds tops and only cut into 3 of the lug nut holes . Nothing a lil gluestick and toothpics won't fix.....and ABC Gum, Cant forget that one! CUS IF YOU DO!!!!!
