I've got a 93 4runner with 31's, and I'm wondering if 33's will rub without any lift? Anyone done that yet?

If you have no lift now (i.e. stock) then yep, they will rub.

I think they'll fit with some longer rear shackles and ball joint spacers. That's what I'm planning on doing, anyway. Hell, I'll make 'em fit.

I don't think rear shackles will help at all for that 4-Runner.

It should be close. Going down the road would likely be all right, but wheeling without swaybars it is going to rub.

I have 33x12.5's with a 1" bodylift and some trimming. They fit perfectly and I can go bumpstop to bumpstop.

Define "RUB"

I'm running 33x12.5x15's without a lift and stock suspension. Did a little sawzawling on the valance and quite a bit of pounding on the backside of the wheel wells. the only time they rub is with the wheels cranked on an incline while accelerating. Still you really do need to put a lift on, I've just been putting it off. when they do rub it don't sound good.
