Question 3"Bod lifts with auto trans?

I recently had some buddies assist me in installing my 4Crawler 3" body lift. The only issue I have been thinking about fixing was my shifter linkage. I had to buy the extension that drops the Tcase down 3 inches but that did not allow my linkage for my 4WD to reach the arm on the Tcase. It was still an inch shy. I tried messing with it but nothing worked. I ended up cutting a piece to backyard it together until I can do a perminent fix. It works but is tight. Has anyone done a 3" body lift on a 2nd gen that has the auto? If so what did you do in this area? I guess from the sounds of it my 4Runner was one of the few 2nd gens with an auto that 4Crawler did the 3" BL.

The transmission spacer they sell for $45 is supposed to correct this problem but I dont see how the linkage is to reach. My idea is to weld a 1-1.5 inch piece in the middle of the linkage to correct this issue. I know it will work but its the taking it out and locating someone with a welder that is another problem. My temp fix is working out ok for now.
