The Old Lady took out the passenger side taillight on our 93 4Runner. It looks like the 1st Gen taillights are swappable between the pickups and 4Runners. Is this true for 2nd Gen as well? I can find plenty of pickup taillights, but not having much luck finding anything that specifically says 4Runner.

Nope they are different I believe. You can usually find companies that sell replacement tailights inexpensively on www.ebaymotors.com

 

Thanks. I've found some taillights on Ebay but they say they only work for 90-92. The seller is actually a body parts supply house, and their own website shows separate taillights for 93-95, but the pictures look identical between the two. Do you know if the ones they are listing as only working for 90-92 will actually work for 93 as well?

They aren't the same. Close, but the contour is different. See pic below.

Thanks for the info. They must have just posted that light up for sale within the last couple of hours because it wasn't there earlier today. I ended up buying a set from another dealer online within a couple of bucks of what this one is listed at.
