2nd gen shift lock override

does anybody know have a diagram or instructions on how to take apart and put together the automatic shifter assembly (center console) on a 93 4runner?

some time ago, i took it apart to do some heavy cleaning.... i got it all back together, with some anguish..... but, recently found out, the shift lock override doesn't work (to shift out gears, when car isn't on).... its the little button on the front top part of the automatic shifter assembly....

im also thinking it may be the culprit to an occasional rattle i get at highway speeds....

please help.... somebody.... ill be taking it apart tomorrow.... but some guidance would be much helpful and appreciated

thanks

There used to be a FSM for 2nd Gens on line, but it isn't up anymore. I have the paper version, but no way to copy what you need.

Cebby, I have the FSM in the PDF format, the 25 MB file that ASU Dan use to have up on his site.

I looked last night at them, but not all.
Do you know the name for the one that has the info?

I can upload it to my site, but not all, 25 MB would kill me for the month and shut me down.

Corey, I have it too. Forgot I DL'd it.

I combed through the PDF's and did not find anything about the Shift Lock switch.

A little more disturbing was the fact that it is mentioned in the general FSM (hardcopy that I have), but there is nothing detailing the switch or its assembly. It is completely about the circuitry associated with it. I can try to scan the three pages, but they don't tell you much.

There are separate FSM's for the trannies of which I have none. I do have one for the engines, but not the tranny. Sorry.
