btw, the first pic i showed with the new tires and rims DID NOT HAVE A BODY LIFT installed. i ran it that way for about a month, and just dealt with the slight rubbing. it never did it going straight, just over bumps with the steering wheel turned either way. if you wanna see the body lift and 33s(never rubs on the street) here you go

hey DyeBoi,

glad to hear you are interested in the swap, im real excited about possibly pushing 300+ hp in a 2nd gen

I don't rub with the 32's and PP coils. I've been told that a 1" BL will help me clear 33's with no rubbing. I hope that's true, since I have my 1" BL sitting in my garage waiting for me to install it.

I have an auto, so the 2" carries a bunch of headaches with it.

Hey, I don't mean to steal your thread...but since its about BL's, i got a question. I have 31" tires on my '88 right now with no rubbing. Im not about to spend more money and get a suspension lift right now. My father says he will get me new wheels for my birthday, im hoping he will get me some tires too. I want 33"s. With a 2" BL would they fit? Rubbing isnt much of a problem cuz the only offroading around here requires little articulation.

thanks.

33/12.5/15 BFG M/T - 4" suspension lift, a little umm "pressure" applied to the rub spots with a BFH, absolutely zero rubbing (unless I happened to get airborne) No body lift needed.

edit: actually, most people don't realize it, but half the time you hear something rubbing, it's the front tires catching the mudflaps... I ended up just yanking mine off. .
