2nd Gen Fog Lights

Has anyone tried fitting in some Hella 550 fog lights into the spot where the two lower lights are on a 2nd gen?

Look at the pic below.

Would there be legal problems with not having emergency lights in front, I guess I'd have to wire emergency lights to the corner lights or something if I chose to, or even to the fog lights themselves.
Would it be possible to do though? Anyone tried?

This sounds like what I want to do. I have a 91 4runner, and on dark mountain roads having a bit more light in a wider angle would be great. Something that cut the fog wouldn't be bad either. I wanted to use the space where the rectangular turn signals are at on the front for the new fog lights. And use my corner lights for turn signals and maybe parking lights as well. I'm sure I could find something that fit, but I'd really like something that looks "stock, or like its made for the opening. Maybe in yellow, or clear. Any help would be much appreciated.

Ouzoorca, do you know about the Performance Products front valance for the 2nd gen 4runners? they are rectangular to fit the Hella 500s i think? but anyway, i would love to see some sort of mode made to do what your saying, to fit fogs in the current signal place and move the signal place to the indicators/corners. if PP does nt displayit on their website, i got their mgazine that says it, so i could look at the name if you want me to. pm if you do. im sure someone some where has done that, if it is not a Daily driver im sure you could do that, just take out the signals all togetherand order small lights to fit in their place. no street legal, unless you live in a 3rd world country such as Belize! lol
