285/75/R16 on stock wheel?!
#21
I have a 3" total lift, and the biggest tires I could run without rubbing were 265/75/16s. These tires ran PERFECT on stock rims, when I switched to my 16x8 procomps, I had to trim the front valence. Hope this answers yor question.

so perhaps an additional $250 for the a-arm trimming isn't possible right now. the 33x10.5's don't rub, do they? lol!
just kidding! i will end up getting the 11.5" wide trXus as planned, and live with the rubbing until i can get the things shaved.
thanks for you help!

I used the Daystar 2.5 inch lift all around and needed new tires anyway. I had a tire shop test fit the TrXus 285/75's and they rubbed noticably. I settled with the 265/75 16's and have had no problems. 285's would work with a small (2") BL and spacers. I agree with a previous post though: wheel spacers are nothing but a headache. Many shops have told me to avoid using them. Just my 2 pennies...

thanks for the replies. i have decided to just get new wheels, probable the black steelies from wheelers in type B backspacing. i figure that with the dark grey/graphite the 98's had, my truck will look sweet.
but should i not go for those, and seeing i am not a huge fan of extremely wide wheel bases....would the 4" work on the 11.5's, or do i need the 3.75" backspacing? it is kind of inconclusive on the searching i have done.
