285/75 16 BFG A/T KO Size Question
In the coming months, I'll be replacing the 265/75 16's on my '02 4Runner, going to the 285/75 size. I will be using the stock 16x7 wheels and my rig sports a 3" front spacer lift and 4" rear Land Cruiser coil spring lift.
285's are a very tight fit on the Runner's, but people seem to have luck with the BFG A/T's on stock wheels. I can't find any information on tread width on the BFG's anywhere, so I'm looking for some help! Anyone know where I can find that info or have actual tread width measurements? Thanks!

By tread width do you mean section width, ie the width of the entire treaded part of the tire?
For actual dimensions, go to BFG's website, click on the All Terrain, and click the tab for sizes and specs. You'll get what you are looking for there.

Thanks for the reply. I've read that the section width of the BFG A/T is 11.4", but the actual tread width isn't listed on the site. The tire I'm strongly considering is the Mickey Thompson Baja Radial ATZ. It has a section width of 11.4 also, and a tread width of 9.2". I'm just curious how that compares to the BFG. Thanks!

IMO, nothing compares to BFG, but that doesnt necessarily mean they make the best tire. Figure out what your going to be driving on the most and how often offroad, snow, etc. Read up on reviews for each tire, you can find them all over the place.
