And I am not a big fan of the "mirror" front ends of the Titan/Armada....

I thought the same thing. The first thing I noticed was the interior door panel. Looks really cheap, this model had memory seats. The position of the switch was way down on the side (almost where the map pockets were). It make me think that it was an afterthought. The switches are poorly laid out, most of them are below the stereo. I prefer to have them close to the driver only (like the 4Runner does). The bed and rails actually looked pretty tough and the tracks are a great idea! The exterior was ok, the towing mirrors were like Fords, where they slide out to be able to see around big trailers. Somehow I can see these coming loose in the future and not staying in place. The front chrome grill is ugly and would be painted if I bought it.

I think it will take a year or so for them to get these things figured out. Maybe even a redesign of the dash and console, hey Toyota did it on the 4Runner for the 3rd gens 99+.

I think the drivetrain and engine will be pretty reliable and tough though...

I'd buy the Titan. I think Nissan's quality is better than the big 3. I'm not real fond of the new F-150's looks. I'd buy a chevy over a ford. The Tundra is just too overpriced in my opinion for what you get. I might buy a used one but at the 37K for the Double cab new. I'll pass

I have not driven one since my local dealer only had one that the new owners were picking up after I got done looking underneath it.

I am more interested in the added beef in the frame and undercarriage which is supposed to be in preparation of a diesel or large gas engine for 2005. That will be a real tail kicker.

Until then, my dreams are about the Titan.

Not a fan of the TITAN look at all.

Perhaps within the next few years, I'll get use to the style and find something attractive on it.

I don't know. I think the Titan is pretty hot. I saw a picture of one from the Detroit auto show and really liked it. It's much edgier (is that a word?) than the typical trucks on the market. That's probably why I like it. My hats off to Nissan.....they do add alot of style in their products.
