possble answer

Had same problem on mine...I finally found out that it was the crankshaft pulley(harmonic balancer) the inner most pulley is bolted together to the outer 2 pulleys. The inner one has a rubber insulator which wears out and causes the pulley to separate. Hope this helps...

my truck has ticked since i bought it at 52k miles. what kind of tick are you guys describing here?? i think mine maybe the fuel injectors. BUT when i use a 5w30 in synthetic i hear it but when i put in like a thick 10w30 in dino it quiets it down some.. go figure.

-- so when i have my timing belt done next week or so do i need to ask them to do a timing test to make sure it was done right bc you know they will only go by the timing notch like most people do. what do you guys think?
