2000 4runner engine swap?

2000 4runner engine swap?
I have a wrecked 2000 4runner 2 wheel drive with an (3.4) engine and transmission with only 77,000 miles on it. Will this engine and trans go into a 2000 4runner 4x4? Someone told me the oil pans were different.

You could always swap the oil pan if it is different. Probably have to swap the pickup tube as well. Of course the 2WD transmission won't have the 4WD transfer case on it either. Also I think the ECU is different for the 4WD.

Hey does anybody know a full list of the conversions the 3vz-e can be swapped with? different engines that can be put in place? if u know of any links, threads or whatever please lemme know, coz i am sick of the 3vz-e, i can't believe how difficult it is to service. thanks everyone!
