1st gen windshield washer question

did all 1st gen 4runners have windshield washers? wondering because my 88 had nothing when i bought it, and i scored the container and the little pump today for free. i have the little squirter things on my hood, but i have no way to use them, no fluid container, pump, hoses, or switch in the cab.

Yes.
Required by Federal Law.

The wiper lever has the washer switch built into it - in the tip.
You "should" find a 2 wire plug near the front of the battery, where the washer bottle goes.
You can buy hose and fittings at any auto parts store. Run the hose from the washer motor along the fender to the firewall, up onto the hood, over to the first squirter, install a tee, then over to the other squirter. Easy as pie.

The switch for the pump is on the windshield wiper switch on the steering column. It's the button on the end of the handle.
That's how it is on my '85 Runner anyway.
