So my dad has a 98 tacoma with the 2.4L engine. It has about 200,XXX miles on it. It was running kinda rough so we replaced the O2 sensors. Now when driving on the highway at speeds between 30 and 60 MPH the engine cuts out. It doesn't die because none of the dash lights come on but its like the engine just dies. He replaced plugs and wires and still no change, if anything its gotten worse. We're stumped and can't figure any reason why it would do this. If anyone has any ideas please let me know! Thanks.

I'll bet the diagnostic codes would help nail it down....but my shot in the dark would be a clogged fuel filter.

We checked the codes when it needed the O2 sensors and then the CEL went off. We checked it againand no codes show up.

Found the problem...turns out it was the Throttle Position Sensor....the new one was bad as well.
