Hey people,have a 1998 4runner limited.It has started to have a really rough
idle and will stall once warm,on the highway you can feel it surging .I have it at my local shop i go to now and have been told that they thought it may be a fuel problem so replaced filter.NOT the problem they say fuel pressure is fine,have been reading up on TPS causing it .

 

This could be many variables. Have your spark plugs and wires checked. It also wouldn't hurt to clean the Throttle body, IAC valve, and MAF sensor. Plus maybe run some seafoam

 

Check the front O2 sensors to see if they are tight. IIRC, should be a 10mm nut. The wires should be not be burnt.
