Post the ad so I can buy it out from under you.

Just kidding! Glad you found one.

Another thing to check if it was not mentioned already is the slim possiblility of the rig being eligible for the HG campaign. After you carfax it, call the dealer with the VIN.

Oh, Travis (SLC) has a free Carfax in the classifieds section. Not sure if it is current or not. Check that out too.

Drop it on ebay and let it go.

Then get your 4runner.....almost impossible to time both sales at once.

If someone runs carfax on your CR-V, lets hope the pic in your avatar doesn't pop up.
I love that 97, especially the woodgrain. I have woodgrain also and I get so many compliments on it and I love it.

hey, yea.... I'm thinking ebay is what I should do. The dumb lady WANTED my cr-v becuase it has an econmical 4cylinder...NOW she says she is looking for a V6. So I dont see why she is even selling the 4runner in the first place???? I hate stupid people. Maybe her car will still be for sale when i sell mine, but then her deal isnt any good. However, there is a 1998 4runner with all the same options, but it has 107k miles. The good thing though is that it is going for 13.5k and already has a new water pump and timing belt. I guess I am back to keeping my eyes open... but i only have 6 weeks until I go back to New Orleans for the summer where there are NO 4x4 4runners. By the way, is ebay risky to sell my car on? Thanks

Ok, got off the phone with my dad and we have a new plan. We are going to go ahead and buy her car even though my car isnt sold YET. So I will be calling her tommorrow. Even though her price of 14,250 is kind of high, the blue book is around 14,500 and I have run a carfax on it and its totally clean, so it should be a good deal. After taxes and stuff I think the total will be around 15k. Any last ideas before I call her? Gracias!

Why would you pay taxes if it's a private party? Normally it is $14,250 out the door. Unless that lady runs some sort of car dealearship or something...

here are a few I watched close to give you an idea...100k miles, but all around $12k:

yea... ebay ones do sound ok, but a lot dont have the rear diff lock which in the long run would add 1k, then most are over 100k miles, then I would have to go pick it up for pay for delievery which is either a few hundred or over a grand. And then you still have to add taxes which is around 800. So I dont think 14,250 is bad figuring its under blue book and is in amazing condition. But i could be wrong... am I?
