1996 tacoma lift

1996 tacoma lift

recently aquired a "6 inch pro comp lift kit" for my tacoma but i tried looking it up on one of those computerized devices but cant seem to find it anywhere but i did find a tuff country 5". i shoulda got more info from the guy but i didnt im young and stupid as my momma says. i is new to the ifs stuff so if anyone has some information about install or even can tell me what it might be would be much appreciated thanks.

this is what i got from the guy. again any information you can give me would help lots.

Your 6" lift is most likely a drop bracket lift. Which means you will be doing some cutting into your ifs to install this. This is a permanent lift and there is no going back. With these lifts, you actually lose ground clearance because this lift makes the diff hang down lower. The plus side is you can run bigger tires to help compensate for this, but the overall ride quality and lack of suspension upgrades makes it not the best choice offroad.

Not sure if this is exactly what you have because your pic isn't working, but I do know there is no such thing as a 6" suspension lift for the front of a tacoma.

there is a 6 inch fabtech, a 5 inch tuff country, and a 4 inch pro comp that i know of.I looked at them but changed my mind. like they said once installed no going back.
