Hi again, I bought a used clinometer for my 88 the other day and was going to install it today but dont know where to start, I dont want to cut a hole in my dash before I know where to cut! If anyone has ever installed one please let me know what the steps are to installing this thing! Thanks again, Matt

They ordinarily go on top of the dash. Are you looking to install it in your extra DIN opening with the radio? Try here: http://www.4runners.org/articles/clino/index.html

No, I want to mount it to the top of the dash!

Does any one know where to drill the holes to mount a clinometer to the dash and once you drill them how do you tighten the bolts up!!!!! I don’t want to just punch 4 random holes in my dash but I have the clinometer in hand cleaned up ready to install but cant for the life of me find any pics of an actual retrofit install! I ripped one of my vents out the other day thinking perhaps that was the ticket, but I dont see how you get in there to get a nut on the bolts once you do figure out where to drill the holes! If anyone has a clinomter in their 1st gen runner or pick up can you please lend me some help! Thanks again, Matt
