15" rim with Tundra brakes

Hey all,

I have spent hours searching the following question, with no luck on finding a real answer. I have used several sites with advanced and basic searches, google, etc.

I have a 1998 4Runner Limited with the 199mm Tundra Brakes upgrade done. I want to run a 15" wheel. If I use 1" wheel adapter and a rim with 4" backspacing can I fit a 15" rim over the Tundra caliper?

I have read countless thread where people say the 15" rim won't fit with Tundra caliper, but they don't mention wheel adapters or backspacing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

pretty sure backspacing wont do anything, as it doesnt make the circumference of the wheel change. so i highly doubt it
