I know what you mean.....I have been wanting the Jaos bull bar and some other stuff that I have seen here, but this was the cheapest upgrade i could do at the time.
Just check ebay for a Tocoma Skid plate there are always a couple on there. Or there is always your Christmas wish list....

I saw on ebay that they have an 03 Tacoma skid plate and an 03 Tundra skidplate both being sold by the same seller...any ideas of any differences? Or since you went with the Tacoma one is that the one to get?

I am not 100% sure but I don't think there is any differnce in the tow. Since there is 4 days left on that auction, you could call the dealership tomorrow just to get confirmation. Don't forget to post some pics if you do it. Thanks.

I was told by a dealer there is no difference between any of the skidplates. The only reason to specify model is for the different mounting brackets, which you don't need anyway.

I got my skid plate...here are pics
I got mine delivered today and here are the pics:
Don't mind it being crooked...i didnt tighten the bolts all the way yet
I used two pieces of aluminum on each side for more stability since what i had sittin around wasnt that thick, each piece was about 3/16" but with two it is pretty firm
I lined up the end of the skid plate with the end of the bumper...great mod and compliments to the starters of this mod. Looks awesome...hope everyone thinks the same....thanks again
