Mine read 17.7, but doing it with a calculator I'm getting 14.8 on average. My MPG has actually gotten worse, it was in the mid 15's when I bought it.
Of course, I may just be getting a little more "sporty" with it.
For the 3500 miles I drove, the 'computer' said I was getting 20.4 which is a joke. I've been doing my calculations at the pump and by reseting one of the trip odometers every time I gas up. On the trip I was consistently getting 18.0 to 18.6 mpg for each fillup with a full tank. Keep in mind that this included very little stop and go driving and I was cruising between 75 and 80 with some segments in the mid to upper 80's. Before the trip I was getting closer to 15 on some local driving mixed in with highway driving. Overall, 18 to 18.6 is pretty good with 4 people in the car and the cargo area filled to the roofline. As for my driving style, I tend to think I drive quickly, but I'm not flooring it or redlining it to accelerate as quickly as possible. I have my M3 for sports car driving

Since gas here in the los angeles area is insane, i'm running 87.. but then again i've been running 87 since i bought the 4runner. Except for my first fill, which I did use 91 but since I knew the 87 would be the same, i figured i'd save a few here and there... not planning to race in this ride anyway!

Prior to the last 2000 miles, I was running 93 and sometimes 89, but I never noticed a difference. With the full load, I thought I'd start off with 93 and lower it as I went. I never noticed a difference so I decided to stick with the cheaper gas. The manual clearly says 87 will work and that 91 is only 'recommended'.

I was on the highway doing about 75mph and was pushing the reset button to see what the computer said about my mileage and it was saying 33mpg and then on another strech I was doing 85mph and the computer said 28mpg, in some spots I was crusing down a slight grade and was getting better mileage at higher speeds

So if the computer is off by 4 which it usually is when I compute my mileage using a calculator after filling up, that would mean I was getting between 24 and 29mpg on the highway.

All highway that is pretty good my Pathfinder got 24-26mpg all highway on a road trip and this truck seems the same

The only thing right on the computer is the time and the outside temp. I would rip it out, if it were not for the A/C controls, and install one of the fold out flip up LCD video monitors.

BTW, I know it's winter, but has anyone noticed that the "cold" on the A/C is kinda weak ? The heat is good... But, I was down south this past week and you have to jack the controls WAY down to get it cool.

That's odd... the AC on mine works great. I had it set at 68-69 in 70-80 degree weather last week and it kept everything almost on the too cool side. Maybe you should have it checked out? I was impressed with how quickly it cooled everythign down.
