Calmly waiting to get a space to weld it up. If only I could rig up a 220 line from my dryer to the driveway I'd be set. We will see.

That's what I did, I bought 8 gauge wire from home depot and made myself an extension cord. I just needed to go about 20 feet though. It gets expensive when you start getting into the 6 gauge stuff if you need more amperage or longer runs. They sold it by the foot at the local home depot.

I ran into the same problem when I installed my AllPro rear lift. I went to use a 220 stick welder my uncle gave me. Went to plug it into the dryer outlet, and the plug was different. I was on a time crunch, so I disconnected the dryer outlet and took the plug off my welder and just wire nutted the welder cord direct inside the outlet box, lol.

Yes thank you. First thing I did was check on loved ones and pets, then my Yotas.
No injuries or vehicle damage.
Busted gauges on my air compressor that fell over. Dang.

Ok I hope a problem is solved. My truck is / was my DD. It had been having a check engine light / intermittent cut out problem. This cut out was for a few seconds then all was ok. This had only happened a half dozen times over say 6 months. But you know how it is I was kinda worried. It did it once at an obscure stop light and I had to push it off the road, would not restart. Any way it finally did restart, got home and 3 days later after worrying how to get to work I bought the Corolla. Unfortunately I had pulled the battery when I got home, so whatever codes I had were gone. Thinking it was a bad coil I replaced that. And in addition borrowed an igniter out of a friends parts truck.Not. Next test drive gave my the Check light and a 4 sec stall. Got home read the code and got a 22, (CTS). Installed new CTS, test drive successful. I hope this is the case in the long run.Name: IMG_2637_zps1f355514.jpg

I am loving the Corolla.
First time in 2 weeks I drove my truck the looooooong way to the store. For the first 5 min it felt so odd. Then it was like I'm home again, ahhhhhhhhh. It did not stall or have the engine check light. So it looks like the CTS was the culprit. I'll drive it to work monday n see how it goes. (36,rt).

Ok the rear 3 inch TG springs are in. Rides like i expect it to. Nice. But because of the new configuration it has changed my pinion angle slightly. My previous rear shackle was a homemade 6". Now its the supplied installed set is 5"....... I have a very slight growl when off the gas slowing down.. I may make a 5.5 set and see how that works..
Bed off this coming weekend and I'll clean the frame up. New bed n cab bushings too.

First thing I did when I joined this forum was search for an 88 build since I just bought an 88 myself. You got yourself a beautiful setup and I hope to have a build thread half as interesting as this when I start mine up. Consider this my intro comment to the forum. I look forward to some great advice and support and I'm really excited to be in the Yota family!

Thanks Gonzo and welcome..... I thought long and hard on what I wanted to do. I still have a ways to go. Motor wise Iamsuperbleeder was a great help to me. I had to replace my head and his pics were invaluable. Good luck and SAS that puppy. Pics of your 88?
