Swimmerboy2112's 1986 4Runner Build-Up Thread

Well the reason i sent you that PM was because i had found these and knew i was getting them. The guy i got em from (Wyoming09) doesn't know what they are, they came off one of his 9 trucks/4runners. And yeah 30" tires will look better than my stock 28"s and they won't really hurt my mileage.

Im 96% sure those are them. You should have a 108mm center bore and a 3.75in. or 5.25in. backspace. Due to the centerbore being so large and being a 15 it doesnt have room for the flat portion your talking about. They use the same rim just machine and drill them for different applications. I ran these rims on my 73 ford in high school and ultra was the only ones that made them. I cant see anyone making knockoff's but i could be wrong. The Ultra PN is 050-5883U or 051-5883U the difference is the back spacing.

I agree, it did look better with the other ones but i want to save them for when i go wheeling not to mention they rub like a fat chick in corduroy.
And yeah I know they are baldish but the rears have about 40% tread left and the fronts, 20%. They will make it through the winter until i get 31x10.50's or 31x10's.

So i took the truck for a little drive around town tonight. She doesn't get to full operating temp, the 160* thermostat is garbage, that's getting junked in favor of a dual-stage Toyota thermostat.
Also, it feels as if i have a little rubbing on those wheels? But it's only when i turn to the left?? I looked and the wheels clear the caliper fine, and they aren't rubbing on the body or frame because they are only 30" not to mention i have a 2" lift...

what does it sound like when it's rubbing? my 31X105's rub very slightly on mine with no lift but it's because of the plasics for the fenderwell right near the rocker panel. Partially due to the fact the plastic is a little looser than it needs to be.
