I can bring my first gen by, I did the same steering conversion on it. Mine works, but I wish I had done it a little bit different. Also, you can see the ride height and I still have issues with hitting my oil pan with my steering.

great looking build, love 2nd gens with 22re, and idk if i caught this or not but your axle is 83 or before due to the fact of the lower truss not going to the ubolt. what are you going to running for shocks?

:UPDATE:
YES! I just picked up a 4.88 ARB 3rd! Craigslist IPhone app. wins the lottery again. $450.

Also ordered steering box brace and flat pitman arm from frontier 4x4. I see the light at the end of the tunnel! Hopefully I will be driving this pile soon.

They are out of a 97 1500 4x4 suburban. They are a couple inches shorter than the 63" 2wd truck springs. Yes they are stiff. I need to road test but not quite there yet. Might have to change them out laters if they don't work out.

Did you put back the trial gear springs?

That looks wayyyyyyy better with the box moved foward. Haha if you ever decide to get 33x12.50 then i'lltrade you. Thats if you get 33x10.50.

Now test drive it and tell us how it feels

Just read through your whole build, nice work! Your shackle angle looks way better with the ruf spring pack! I've heard a lot of people complain about TG not making it clear in there instructions that the 3" lift springs are shorter than their 4" and 5" lift springs. So if you don't know that going in, you end up with the nearly vertical shackle angle. Look forward to seeing your SAS completed, and how you setup your bump stops....I'm about in the same stage, need to weld in my shock hoops, mount the shocks and bumpstops lol.

Thanks! Yes, I agree about TG instructions.
I'm super happy with the ruf pack so far.
Put the front bump stops on today. I cut the TG stops to 2.5"
I gunna check your build.

Nice work on the 4runner! I haven't seen it around town yet, but it shouldn't be hard to miss a SAS 2nd gen.

Seriously, I'd thought that after moving from downtown to the midtown I'd see you at least ONCE... but no such luck. Anyhow, constructive criticism. I think it's an amazing work-in-progress. I'm an IFS kinda guy... but this S.A.S. build sure does have me scheming.

Did you get that ARB 4.88 off some guy here in S/C? I was looking at one the other day, but went with a set of Street tires and SR5 rims instead for that MPG... Let me know what it's like when you put it in!
