Nice to see people check out my thread

Anyways the tire carrier is done.

Welded a piece of metal across to mount the tire too.

Still not the best welder.

Made studs out of one piece of 1/2" all-thread.

Welded the studs to the cross bar.....perfect fit!

yes...thats a gate latch!!

Finished product. Dont mind whats under my bed lol

Side shot.

My dad said I should patent this idea!

Anyways hope you all like it.

I love that bronco. Dads had it since before I was a thought. Its been through alot. Been rolled a few times. Done the rubicon 3 times. Had a tree fall on it. Its been through hell but shes a part of the family.

But as for the rack I knew I needed something fabbed up and different. The fact that its hinged sets it off from others I think.

i rode around with only one seat for a while, and it was great. sooo much more room in the cab (although it'd be more advantageous for someone with a standard cab).

you get your bracket lift or cheby springs yet?

haha I like my seat incase someone decides to hop in

But im waiting to hear from hillbilly on the bracket lift. Told me he should send it out tomorrow. As for springs im running F150s. I went to go pick them up yesterday from my vuddies house but it was too dang hot lol Im excited though to get it all done. Now I can work on the yota and not have to worry about being nagged at.....but she will be missed :/

i understand. don't stress over it, rather, keep busy. it's happened to me thrice, so let me know if you need any help.

anyhow, back to your build: i've never heard of anyone using furd springs. how many leaves, how long, how wide, etc?

Thanks man..yeah ill be ok. Just keep my head clear.

The springs are 57" long. Not sure how wide off the top of my head. I believe they are 3 leaves with an overload. For mounting I move the hanger 11" forward just like chevies and I can use my stock shackle hanger but I wont have the best shackle angle.

Fords give a better ride...flex better and a better depature angle. There is a thread on here. Tittled F150 vs. Chevy springs.

Im curious to see how its going to perform. Also since im doing a 4" bracket lift I want it to sit level. Chevies offer about 3" of lift where F150s offer 4-5". So I should sit pretty close to level.

yup (in the sig)

my only other plan is to put a tool box on the back, but that's it for now. i'm working on my trailer (also in my sig), so i won't be putting any more $$ into the rig at this time

Just ordered a new tailgate latch and driver side window roller upper thingy. Tired of my window not rolling up and having to use a knife to open the tailgate. Ordered them from carpartswhole.com all together I paid 43 bucks. Not too bad.
