I have a 1994 4 runner that I am in process of putting 4 link front and rear on. 14" Ballistic fab air shocks all of the way around. 383 stroker with TPI from a Corvette. 203/205 th350 with shift kit. Full hydraulic steering. 38.5" Super Swampers SX's. This is what I have done so far.

What it used to look like.

Got the front suspension almost done exept for the one shock that I dont have yet. Looks like Im going to have to do some trimming on the oil pan cause where the shock mounts the upper link hits the oil pan before it is all of the way flexed. When I measured the tire off the the ground it was 10" but the shock only travels 7" but it is mounted further in a the axle. But it shoulded be a big deal. Hopfully I can get the rear suspension parts on order so I can get that part done too. The rear is going to be easier I hope. LOL Here is a pic of the shock on the runner. I only had to put 500psi of nitrogen to get it to set by its self! I thought it was going to be more. But I will have to add more when I get the bumper rad, and winch on the front of it.

I would go with the 4 link cause I have a buddy that had a 3 link on the front of his jeep and he broke one of the links and ruined his $1000 shocks. Just my opinion. Good luck with your though.

No I am going to just run the air shock. The Ballistic fab shock can support up to 1100 lbs a piece so that should be plenty. If not I will upgrade to coil overs in the future. But these cost 260 where a good coil over is 1000 a pair. There is lots of guys running these out here. They seem to work pretty well.
