Ratchet's 1989 4Runner Build Thread

Hey guys, long time lurker, first time poster... After all the reading I think I am ready to make some posts.

I have an '89 4Runner I recently picked up for $1k with a head gasket going out. I am in the process of changing it out now, many thanks to the knowledgeable people on this board! Your posts are getting me through this comfortably! I have built many cars and am/have been a part of many automotive forums, from what I've read here this is the most mature, helpful, and friendliest board I have ever joined. You guys all feel like a big family!

To start my thread I have decided to create a list of things I will be doing to my rig, this is basically what I have best decided fits my budget and needs. Budget is around cheap to free I have a 10 month old daughter, and my fiance is currently out of work... And Walgreens doesn't pay much...

Info on my truck, she is a 22re, 5 speed, manual locks and windows, everything works great, including the stock deck and eq! I have only driven her a few short distances before parking it to do the head gasket. Excited to drive her again!

If you have any of these parts laying around please feel free to pm me. Also your opinions will be greatly taken into consideration! Thanks in advance fellas!

A= acquired D=DONE!

Other things... (I'm still reading that forum)

Interior-

Mount highjack onto rollbar (4Crawler style) A
Mount flashlight on drivers door A
LED domes

Exterior-
Tube bumpers (I am still deciding how I want them to look)
Mount hitch on top of frame rails (hanging too low now) A
Smoke Grey Rustoleum paint sprayed on
Tinted black tails and markers A
LED replacements all the way around (I have a hookup and LOVE LEDs)
Black wheels (whatever I find cheap)

Will be adding as I read and decide, thanks in advance guys!

Ah ˟˟˟˟˟ty, broke a headbolt... Luckily only the first inch or so snapped off the top of the bolt. It's the rear headbolt on the drivers side, between the exhaust ports. I'm going to try grinding flat edges on it and a good set of vice grips on it, I've been soaking it with ATF/acetone mix for about, 15 hours. Hoping for the best, I need my truck back. If that doesn't work I'll weld a nut on top. Wish me luck fellas!
