I hate that crap - when I gutted my '95 eons ago I had to deal with that tar-like junk.
It was the worst part of the job.
I took some Goof-Off or something similar and wiped it all down afterwards to help the Peel-n-Seal I used stick better.
Came out pretty good afterwards, I wish I could find those pics....

wow its been awhile
well just after i started this last year i got hit by a 17 year old drunk kid and crushed my knee. its all titanium njow, i just look at it as i got a custom upgrade lmao. im getting around better now and while i was in the wheelchair i got stir crazy and hammered out a custom dash. dont be too critical, its the first one i ever built...

damn i love this truck. black paintjob coming soon. gonna try a new liner for the roof and rear deck and all 4 doors. its called audiowrap and i hear alot of ppl rave about it. ill post pics of the install soon....heres their site : http://audiowrap.com/

[IMG][/IMG]decided to go ahead and make a new door panel. for this im making it the same way i did the dash trim panels. 1/8 inch board backed by dynamat and covered in heavy capeting. this time around im using a different liner called audio wrap. it looks like good stuff and made locally which is cool .
