As most of you are aware, when it comes to major projects, nothing ever works right the first time....where am I going with this?
Yep
You guessed it.
Ran into another issue -_-
After finally getting it started, idling good, and the power steering working right....the brakes decide to quit working. I've pursued all possibilities only to conclude that there is most likely, a massive amount of air still in the lines, so if we can't get it completely bled and stopping....it's going to a brake shop, so they can deal with it, lol.
We've pretty much been working on the brake issue since those last pics were posted.....

Problem Solved!! Brakes fixed!!! IT LIVES!!!!!!
...........pics to follow soon......cause I still gots to charge em coilovers, and tighten down the coilsprings so it rides a lil higher, cause right now without the shocks charged and only the coil springs supporting the front end, its relatively close to stock height, so hopefully it'll come up a bit more once its totally finished

Hey, so I know I haven't been down for awhile, so all I can go on is your pics here, but do I see you didn't go ahead and bolt in the frame brace when you had nothing in the way? And lemme see how Cam hung the 63's, I think I remember him saying something about a heim style shackle hanger.

Actually, we haven't even considered tackling the rear suspension project just yet. Maybe if there's time and resources before my ship-off-to-basic date, but that job might get put on hold for a long time.
It your asking how they're hung on the parts truck then, yes, the rear shackle of the 63's are mounted to a large heim/Jonny joint that pivots using a ball instead of just a solid mount. Pretty neat but not for what I want my rig to do.
Interested in buyin em Jonny?

Haha, already got my 63's, rebuilt em and painted them with slip-kote, new plastic sliders for the leaf tips, and have Trail-Gear's creeper shackle hangers.
Look to the bottom of the page:

All I need is to get spring hangers made, hangers welded, u-bolt flip, and weld on shock mounts. Then deal with the front, of course. Thinking Old Man Emu rears with a couple stock rear leaves added or something, have to mix and match that one til I find the right combination.

Still playing with a new camera that I can't seem to figure out, but until then. Heres the best I got:

Quick write-up on the performance:
I'll just start off by saying, this project was absolutely WORTH every cent, and every drop of blood and sweat! With the coil springs tightened up and the shocks charged, I just CAN'T bottom out the suspension! In front at least...
The ride is very smooth, with the exception of the rear end still kind of stock and rough, this thing feels like its floating at high speeds. Every hard spot in the road that would normally require slowing way down for, is now like dirving over a pile of pillows. I am VERY impressed with this Total Chaos kit. Though the entire dynamics of the whole rig have been changed, it is and INcredible improvement. The truck reacts very differently to hard impacts, rocks, ruts and dips now, the re-bound and steering has changed a lot, I wasn't expecting such a drastic change, but WOW! I LOVE IT!!

Why hello everyone. Sorry its been a while, last several months have been, well, the most incredible experience of my life so far. I'm now a soldier in the U.S. Army and its been a wild ride getting here! I'm stationed in Kentucky for the time being as an 11B Infantryman. My toyota, now currently resides in Texas. Since my last post Its been out to the trail a few times before we packed up and moved to texas, heres some more recent pics to catch everyone up! Its good to be back!!

first time out after being finished:

Aaaaand, where she now lives until I come home on leave to give her some excercise

In case I haven't said it yet, the suspension upgrade was worth every cent. Rides and handles incredibly well! On ANY type of terrain to inlcude sand, and heavily wooded trails.
