We went on a day trip last saturday.
The trucks were
2x 38" Hilux , 42" Pajero , 44" Patrol , 4runner 44".

Here are some of the pictures
At the intersection Into the valley Dómadalur [ judgments Valley ] Some sledguys in troble.

Crawl through lava

Lots of hard snow to begin with.

Well you can drive fast on it ..

Powder in between

Landmannahellir, Four out of five trucks fell Through the snow there., Its a river below

through the window

Nissan too

The only way forward was down this steep mountain

This is much steeper than it appears

And some speeding

cool weather

But they felt great to run into the same stream at the same time.

then BBQ at Landmannahelli

Arrived just in time for back before dark after a fine day.

I bought a gopro camera the other day and stuck it to the truck and went on a little offroad outside town. Made a little video of it.
Here you go.

It is the fact that we did'nt get them is what makes them special to us NA folks lol...

I'm still curious about the moon visor... do you see the light reflections on the wind screen from inside the truck when you're driving?
I keep thinking of getting one myself... did your truck always have one or did you install it? if you installed it did you notice any mpg loss and if so how much?

Great pics!! The claws are the best snow tire period. I loved my 38.5's. I think its time for some longfield axles and a hi-pinion front 3rd. I can't wait to see what breaks first. LOL I just twisted the splines on my 27 spln longs with 42'Tsl's. Those 46's are heavy!!

Looks like a blast winter wheeling like that...

We didn't get the extra doors in Canada either, and I'm probably the millionth person to ask, but you or one of your friends wouldn't happen to have an idea what it would cost to crate and ship the last metre and a half or so of one of those hilux cabs (84-88 vintage here) with the rear doors to say, Halifax?
