FindingFive's 1989 Pickup Build-Up Thread
Just decided to start a build-up thread, haven't had the truck for very long but I'm excited with all the possibilities of the truck and seeing where it can take me.

Any feedback or advice will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks guys,
Dain (findingfive)

Also if anyone happens to live in the greater Ellensburg, Yakima, Cle-Elum area of Washington I'm eager to learn some tricks of the trade and get some help with toyota's!
Also I like beer, so I will bring some in exchange for knowledge!

Hey everyone! Been almost a year since I posted last but I thought I'd show what little I've had the time or resources to do since last time!
Finally got some decent tires with some tread on them in August.
31x10.5x15 Toyo A/Ts

Decided I wanted a tac so I put one on the steering column. Power, ground, and light all come from where the clock would be on an SR5 model ( i have the DLX so its all ready to go! I can give more detail on this if anyone cares) The signal wire is run upfront to the negative post on the coil. It works like it should with the backlight coming on as soon as you turn on the parking lights or headlights or hit the brakes. I'll post a better picture of it tomorrow.

Other than that, today I just did brand new plugs, wireset, and cap and rotor after having a misfire issue. Fixed it no problem and she's back on the road! Turned out to be excessive carbon buildup on my plugs i think, but everything else needed to be done.

When the new Toyos went on the front end was aligned and I had a local shop here in Ellensburg, WA do a new cat-back exhaust for me last winter about January! thanks for taking a look and I'll post more as she comes along!
