Some build threads take days or weeks or even months!! Yours on the other hand..

Awesome build, man! Looks really clean and orderly. And I like the grill, looks like an FJ!

I love a lifted white truck with Black rims. Nice work on the SAS. Does it still have the 3.0 or has that been swapped out also.

thanks, i did regear. 5.29 in '98 elocker and '04 elocker, and nitro gears installed by just differentials (great folks!)
with the 31s, and 5.29 was hitting 65-70 3500-3700rpm and with the 35s back to ~70mpg@2900-3100. holds the power better too, no more shifting to 3 then 4 then 3 then 4. she holds 5 VERY well and if i keep momentum up some grades....but likely, traffic requires a downshift to 4th. yea mpgs suck skunkballs.

3.slo still running well. i drool over a 5vz swap or a lexus V8 and with ORS back, painless/plugNplay wiring harnesses may be available again.
she only has 194k, so....will bust out some other ideas before that.....scuba tank for air, kayak rak, rifle locker, caltrop release and oil sprayer for those gatetailers. did just say that?

also did the 7mgte AFM mod (many thread on this). all i can say is, i have no idea why it is not a more popular mod. i have no idea how gains are on a 22re but a 3.0 benefits quite well from this mod. i did the AFM swap, adjusted a/f cog but did not adjust screw or bypass, not have i advanced timing yet, but i have noticed gains. i do plan on advancing timing, but need to get sliders put on the truck.

richard stubbs @ stubbswelding was super kind and is getting a pair out to me on the rush for trip next week...he is really great guy and the 4x4/fab world is lucky to have him. a big thanks to mr stubbs!

anyone in wla/surrounding that might be able to help me weld em on?

Very nice truck. Love how tight the bumper hugs the bed of the truck.

sliders are on, and i have a nice burn to prove.
gonna go paint em.
they did quite well on the maiden run out with them.

next up(providing$)and in no particular order:
duals, and change my chain case for 2 gear tcases and budbuilt xmember
front bumper and winch
kayak rack
rear tire swingout of the mc rear bumper
co2 tanks for air fill
relocate batteries and wire in fuse box, bus bar, and marine switch, jump port
new stereo
sunroof swap, 5vz, allpro bed swap are some nice mods but don't know if i can get that far for quite some time.

I always wonder that too. I see that question asked in most of the SAS threads.

When I do mine what should I hold onto?

i'd say hold on to everything that still operates. it's all worth something. i've seen people fund their SAS off the old IFS. some off it all at once, and some sell piecemeal. it's really all up to you and how much you wanna deal with.

one more slider pic
