Dzldust's 1988 "trail" build
I have built quite a few of these little trucks for different applicatiosn from local "tuff truck" racing, prerunning to crawling. This one I used mainly for trail and pounding. It started off as a 1988 ifs stripped truck and ended up as a pretty stout toy.Heres how it started sitting in the back corner prob heading for the scrapper eventually.

I had a spare front solid axle mount which my buddy made to Chevy fullsize spring bushing width,we used 6" chevy springs for the pounding and jumping.

heres a pic with the Allpro steering and all painted up

I lost a lot of my pics but heres a look at the truck after paint and before it was buttoned up

then after a few rollovers and a bunch of Tubing we have this:

rear disc brakes
I am looking for more build up and trail pics but I honestly was too busy building and driving to take pics,we used film back in the day instead of digital.....
Specs:
22r with 38DGAS weber
NWOR header 2 1/4 exhaust and flowmaster
Centerforce dual friction clutch
30lb flywheel
5.29 gears Detroits front and rear
Chevy 6" front springs
Dodge 63" rear 4" springs
Rancho 5012 shocks
Warn 9000 winch
full flatbed with interior cage and rear bed cage all tied into frame and sliders
This was a very heavy toyota
36" TSLs and 35" Boggers depending on trails
all wiring ran inside cab with spare ingniter/coil mounted inside firewall for quick switch over if failure occured.
