Yea, giving up pot was easy.
To give up beer I needed some help.
Marijuana is a gateway drug. It leads to alcohol use.

Yep, fire is no joke! I've driven through the Angeles, and from Mt. Emma Road and Ft. Tehon road.... WOW, ....... it was MILES of black! Now look at it, quickly using the ash and such... Plus, they found it really knocked down the beetle infestation a bit(but there's almost NO stopping that.... it's made it all the way to the coast, here!!) . Heck, even control burns have gotten out of control... It's very sad/scary/traumatizing for many whom live up there/know people who do/ or just love the forest.

PS> Congratz, Buck! .... Gateway for sure! For me at least. I'll leave it at that, lol. I've never been so capable of dealing with stress as I have since being sober. But I still serve plenty... it's not anyone elses problem that I'm an Alcoholic! hahaha. Have friends that NEVER had a problem with anything... NEVER been drunk but 3 times in their life! lol... I don't possess that gene! hehehe.

Man sounds like a blast Mark. Hit me up whenever ur thinking about going. I'll try my best to make time.
Hey Richard.... I was thinking I MIGHT be heading up there, tomorrow, maybe Sunday.... Not sure yet... it's gonna be CRAZY crowded with people due to the 4th Holiday weekend... Many Palmdale people and likewise head up for the holiday to those areas... So it might be a bit crowded... But I am not sure I can wait any longer before I pull my hair out! hahaha.

Ahhh, ok,.... I thought you were maybe near the 138hwy and Pearblossom...... But you hit that area a lot, eh? Well, I actually hit the Big Rock Creek and surrounding areas all the time(Used to)... Trying to get up there asap. Was going to head up there today, but unfortunately, had a pretty crazy crisis with the step father... So had no choice but to stay in town and head on to help Mum! lol.

Not sure I'll be able to go tomorrow, either... But I think that's best, as I'll weep at what the visitors have done to it over the holiday weekend, if I went tomorrow. By Tuesday, the Prison Fire Crew at the top of Big Rock Creek Rd. will have buttoned it all up, nice and trash free and some maintenance, ya know?

You're more toward Big Bear or the 14? Kinda in the middle?

Hi Chef! Just catching up on the happenings 'round here.
Ummm, thanks for sending your Cali heat this way....we went from the 70s a few days ago to 95 yesterday, 98 today, and 102 tomorrow. I'm melting! lol And, most of Wastern Oregon is under a Red Flag fire warning due to temps and thunderstorms that are popping up.

WOW, yeah.... it's been pretty cool down here, lol... Hot on and off.... but mostly cooler/pleasant(70's-80's max... Even 60's the last few days, off and on).

Wow, hope you have a problem free summer, pertaining to the fire dangers, etc.!!!

Yeah, it would have! Sadly, the old dude woke up today in a major crisis... Bad tremors, on the floor, etc. He was just exhausted after falling, turns out... But REALLY freaked my poor mom out... She called and was REALLY concerned! Headed over and solved that, right quick(calmed her down, took over, got him up and back into bed.... He crashed til 3! FHEWWWWW!)

She was very relieved, however, to find out that I changed her 02 front bank sensor from denso.com, saving her, including labor, around 300-400$!!!! Doing the AC recharge for her as well, asap. LOVE not NEEDING a mechanics help for everything, ya know?(NOT EVEN A DIG, Richard... You do what you can, I know, and you're learning fast!).... I'm honestly just so grateful to save her hundreds and see the look on her face... Much less the THOUSANDS I've saved myself, ya know?

Next Sat. would ROCK! Just hope I can... If I KNOW it's a plan, I WILL have someone here to cover my availability to help her, ya know?

Also a possibility..... Rowher Flat OHV Area

..........BUT, ... I just think I need a fairly mild day in the Crest NEAR WATER, ya know? It can get near 100*F.... NOT saying it will.... It's actually guestimating 88*F or so..... But I just like to go when I have time to somewhere I can get in the water/grill up some lunch, etc., ya know? So I'm thinking something simple, like Sycamore Flats, then from there, up into the Surrounding Crest just to test em out on some rock gardens and milder wheeling? We could always wheel in mine a lil further in spots... But it's pretty limited back there... Just a kinda "FOR FUN" thing, ya know? There's LOTS of places to get off on tangents up in there.... All through Upper Tajunga and Lower Tajunga, near Monte Cristo, etc., and plenty of places to get some good Photo's, .........just a beautiful forest if you know where to go, ya know?

Redeth, a member on here, aka Richard, came by to help me install this Amp and 10" JL Sub...... IT SOUNDS SICK! Seriously... I was actually kind of shocked at how clean that solo 10" JL sounds... I didn't amp up anything else, my Deck is fine to run the 2-4" Blaupunkts in the dash and 2-6x9's in the boxes in the Rear seat areas of my 4Runner....

THANKS, RICHARD! I appreciated the help! ...>>>>>

Lil video of the sound.... Having a problem with youtube freezing up on me.. So I just put it on PBucket... Don't mind the Music, had to test out the boom-boom factor with some Dre, hahaha....

Anyone know anything about these? I've had ONE guy tell me, "SICK!"..... And he used to love Polk Speakers, and now said the same ones, 4"? Returned for these, ...which were FAR superior! >>>>>>>

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Infinity...0708&cp=4&lp=3

I LOVE my Inifity Home Audio Speakers... they're BIZARRELY beyond what you would expect when you look at them... Not HUGE, just INSANE/clean sound, solid bass, etc. I know NOTHING of the newer Infinity Car Audio stuff.. so I thought I'd ask. Also asking about these......

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Infinity...0708&cp=4&lp=5

Right now, I have 10+ year old Pioneer 4way 6x9's.... Ask Richard... they are CLEAN! I'm just not sure they're comparable to some of the newer stuff. But like I told Richard.... the Cerwin Vega 12's I had in my Blazer 15-20 years ago? HOLY CRAPULA, they were REALLY nice, compared to lots of the stuff I've heard in Cars today.

I'm hoping to get to all the stuff I've got planned, this week, regarding the roof, etc. I'm trying, ... I just had some time today... and Richard was willing to help.. so I went that route, "Sounds".... AND, .... hey, that WAS on that more recent list! hahaha.

Yeah apple valley is between victorville and lucerne just below big bear a lot of really nice trails to hit up on this side of the marry annas 3n14 is one of the main ones I normally leave my house head up towards big bear taking 3n14 then hang a right up there in big pine flats to head towards crab flats end up going to dam near arrowhead head down to devils hole fish for a little while then make my way back out towards the back side of silverwood its a really nice wheeling cruse normally takes me about 6 hours around the mountains due to fishing and what not. There are some spots that are knarly ass hell to get through but I can do it when my truck was stock with 32's on her. I couldn't make it up but I cango down it. There's a lot of rocks and tight fits to make it through but all in all prolly 1 of the best trips you can do in those parts of the mountains I've seen/drivin. I used to have pictures of the trip but my wife sent off my sd card with my old phone when I got it exchanged for a new 1
