The front bumper is an Addicted Offroad, and the rear is a TrailGear. Both are great!

 

Well I'm finally back from school and have gotten the opportunity to work on the Runner a little bit

I started with replacing my old front shocks and steering stabilizer



the original shocks looked a little worn out



as well ass the original steering stabilizer



I decided to go with an OME stabilizer

And while I had the skid plate off I decided to have a little fun with paint... I'm not sure if I'll keep it or not yet



So after that I got started on the engine tear-down. I was planning on doing a full rebuild, but I felt like I wouldn't have enough time to do everything.

I took a break from the wrenching and decided to polish and clean my calve cover a little



And here it is after the base coat of paint



I'm still going to add some accents to the valve cover as well as a new 22R-E sticker. As for the things I'm doing with the engine I decided to replace the timing chain, cover, and guides. While I'm in there I'm also replacing my oil pump and water pump. And to top everything off I'm going to do a full tune up. It's been a pretty daunting task for me. This is the deepest I've ever been into an engine. I just hope I get it right the first time. I should be updating through the whole process.

I want to know more about ur zuk mod, Do u luv it? how is it on road and offroad and why did u do this??

 

I really do like it. It gives me more lift in the rear to eliminate rear end sag, and it gives a little bit softer of a ride as well. Offroad it performs about the same as it did for me with the old leaf springs, but with more ground clearance for bigger tires obviously. It's really cheap too. Do a search and you'll find all the different ZUK mod possibilities.

 

Well I finally got around to finishing my winter break project. When all was said and done I ended up putting in a new radiator, a GM 12si alternator, new timing chain with guides and gears, all new belts, full tune up, and new vacuum hoses. Here are some pictures of the whole process. I guess they all speak for themselves.

dude your truck looks amazing! great work on the engine you did a fantastic job. just one question did you take out your injectors and get them cleaned?
