That mount is actually the helmet mount(glued) that comes with the camera. I just made it a hood ornament instead

GREAT LOOKING RIG MAN!
Im about to throw the Blazeland LT Kit on my truck.
Im thinking I am going to put the chevy 63s on the rear with the Ruff Stuff swap kit as well. With out the drop bracket on the front of my rig I should be fine with the standard 4-6" shackle yeah?

What are the q78 like on the road being so narrow and bias ply. Do they get bad flat spots?

You should be fine with the standard shackles he offers. I have an extra 3 leafs on the bottom of my 63"s that a friend gave me from his deavers, so consider it a progressive spring pack under my leafs. On level ground my truck sat a little ass end high BUT my a-arms had nearly no angle to them up front. I lifted it an 1" or so last weekend and still with minimal angle on the arms im riding levelish. (I still wanted just a bit higher rear so when we load down for trips I'm not sagging) Going this route will bring a very big smile to you and your wallet

Only speaking from the experience I've had with these other swampers;
38.5x15r16 siped boggers
37x14r16 iroks bias
39.5x13.5r15 iroks bias
and the q78-r16 is the best riding, balancing and sounding tire I've owned! flat spots are pretty well non existent on these tires and from what I can see the side wall is super flexible with out running on low psi. The 78's are my fav tire so far. The only draw back I've got with the 78's are when taking turns with some speed there is definitely more tire roll then I like but I am not much of a speed freak so there is not much of a problem in my situation.

Great build thread! I think the combo of drop bracket and long arm works well. I've gone that route on my 86 4Runner. The bracket lift provides the lift and the long arm the travel.

no doubt man, you build my second favorite thing on my truck (right behind my ARB locker)! I always make it a point to let everyone know what front suspension I have. Then when they give me the raised eye brow look, I just take them for a ride
Thanks Nate!

Haven't messed with this in a while... Wife's school is NOT cheap. Oh and I just now realized that my build title isn't correct. Sorry mods. Here are few things I have done lately

Put some radial rubber on since I haven't been able to wheel nearly as much as I planned. I decided on 255/85r16 bfg km2

I wanted a quieter flow so I acquired a 2011 tacoma exhaust and with a little cutting/welding it hung right in the stock position

One of my favorite rigs on here. Cool to see Q78s on there...you don't see those much anymore.
