95.5-97 front end swap...possible?

Ok so if this has already been discussed, i cant find it. I HAVE BEEN SEARCHING!! Ive found many posts and threads about people with 95.5-00's that converted to 01-04 front end. Ive always liked the 95.5-97's myself! I have a 94 4x4 and would like to do the swap when i have the front torn off. I know from owning a first gen tacoma (98) that the finders are different so thats already a know that isnt going to fly. But im curious if theres a way to reto fit the grill in and use my corner lights, hood, bumper.etc. I know theres a guy up around where my pops lives with the front end im diggin. Thinking the next time i go up that way ill throw a tape on it and get some measurements to compare and see where im at. But if theres someone out there who has done this or even some one who knows that they will not go id like to cancel out this thought and move on....Thanks for any advise

Pretty sure I've seen it before, at least the grille/lights swapped in, also the bed is fairly common - not sure why people do it since the body lines aren't even remotely close to lining up between the models. If you want to covert all the front sheet metal - at that point why not just get a tacoma??? Probably cheaper and definitely easier to do. Regardless, you could make anything fit with some work...so if you wanted your front end to be a new tundra's sheet metal it would work, just won't be easy and will definitely take some fab skills.

So your telling me this unique idea of mine isn'n in fact unique at all and its already been had huh? Thanks for trying to cheer me up pal!! Lol That figures though. And yeah i dont hate the front end, let alone enough to go all out. Just looking at the two i think its close enough to work without reinventing to truck. If the 95.5-97 grill is 55'' between the corner lights by say 8.5-9'' tall i think i can make it work. And i need the radius of the edge of the hood to be close. If i need to cut out and replace the core support, i think ill check out. Hope to come across one here soon and get some numbers to work with...
