86 4runner turbo restoration

Currently restoring my first vehicle I ever owned.. Recently got it back from my ex husband and she needs some work..

A lil background;
I have owned this rig since 2001
I am the second owner
We replaced the engine in 2003 due to my ex running her low on oil and blowing it. Re built the turbo And put a 2" body lift with 32" mud terrains ...
She is all original inside and "was" in perfect condition.. Her condition as of now saddens me and I plan to build her into a beast. I always knew this runner was rare but I am just now realizing just how rare she is. I have the fully loaded version and some parts I just cannot find! Pick n pull gets one in once in a while and I have only found a digital turbo gauge cluster and a moon roof.. I am still looking for the center console that houses the heater core.. Since mine busted into a million pieces!

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

I have big plans for this runner and I will be posting my progress I'll post pics as soon as I discover how lol

Can you give us any teasers of what you have planned, or are you keeping it under wraps until start working on it?

Man the list of what I want to do is endless right now lol.. It's currently an auto of course and I will be converting to a 5speed .. Solid axel swap ...rear disk conversion.. Bigger lift lower gears ..bigger tires ..paint .. On and on .. Im torn on keeping the engine stock or not?! I may do some mods maybe a bigger turbo ?!?!?.. Right now the engine has an idle issue and overheats from time to time.. So I need to locate the issues . The engine has less than 25k on it and I did the replacement myself cost me a lil over 3k to do. I never plan to sell this runner it's my baby.. And I have dropped way To much into her lol..

Sounds like you've got a cool build planned! I don't blame you for never wanting to get rid of it, that's how I feel and I've only owned mine for a year, lol. Theres alot of good info on this forum, I know RMP8080 is finishing up his manual trans swap, and I just finished doing a straight axel swap on my 4 runner, when the time comes and if you have any questions just let us know!
