picked this rig up in MO over the late summer. It's a 1986 4runner SAS'd

transfer case has been regeared to 4.7 to 1 low range
front axle:
1985 solid axle
4.88 gears

lockrite
i believe it had a 4crawl diff armor added, since drain plug was removed.
stock rear springs up front
histeer with blazer tie rods, looking into changing that one
ifs brake setup
rear axle:
4.88 gears
detroit locker
chevy 1500 springs 63"

slider all around
half cage
33 x 13.5 x 15 LTBs it really needs at least 36s to be happy

Got some new to me 36 x12.50 x 15 TSL bias plys. Makes a big diffference in ride and where is can go. Working on the homemade high steer that s on it next. I think I m gonna have to get a flat pitman arm, extend the link a little and put a fj60 tie rod end on it. The way it set up now will work but not a long term fix by any means. It s got a full size chevy tie rod on the pitman arm end and it doesn t even seat flush. I ll get some pics and post them up too.

Ok working on the steering. The 4runner came with a stock gear box and pitman arm. The guy I bought it from tried to put one ton chevy joints in the steering. The joints on the knuckles look good and work ok, but the joint on the pitman arm is bad. It doesn t seat at all. Can I ream that out to make it work on a joint that size? I think he may have tried that cause it looks like there is a brass sleeve or bushing on it to. Or is it better to just buy a trail gear arm with an FJ joint for it and remake the link?
