toy4rox's 1985 extra cab build

Picked up this truck in May, been working on it since then. It is going to be sort of a restomod build, nothing extreme, and it's a daily driver still. Only 120k miles, SR5, pretty much bone stock except for some wheels and dry rotted 31x1050 tires.

Plans are to restore the interior, lift it 4 inches, put 33s on it, and lockers, low gears, and crossover steering in the future. Also Custom sliders and bumpers.

I tried to click on your link and it said " Forbidden", if you copy and paste the IMG of the pic it will show. As far as your interior. I used interior paint on my 88 build.

I had seen some bad jobs on interior paints. But if done right, it works great. I have it listed in my 88 build.

Since most of the work has already been done, the thread is going to be kind of scattered.
We made new visors, since the old ones are falling apart. They looked really good at first

After that My dad and I started making the rear bumper, I wanted it to look simple, and kind of stock, except for being super strong.

It's a step design so that we didn't have to move the license plate.

After that came the front bumper. I've always liked the look of the Trail Gear bumper, so we decided to copy it!

It was all custom made except for the winch plate. With only a Sawzall, we didn't feel like making that. It gets a stinger eventually too.

Then we restored the interior, put in a new carpet kit, Grant steering wheel, Dash plate, and repainted everything. It was a pain, but since it's my daily driver it was worth it.

All the panels painted

And now the finished interior. It turned out really well. My only problem is that the visors we made are coming apart now, (arizona heat is tough on everything) the door panels are starting to come loose, and it's missing a few pieces here and there. Anybody know if I can get the end cap to get the windshield washers to work? If I hook a wire up to both pieces, they work fine, but since the cap is missing I can't really use them when I want. Anyway, pictures

Decided to get ride of the stock outer shift boots, I like the rubber better anyway.

Here's some pictures of the redneck exhaust system I used to have, An old Flowmaster wired in by clothes hanger, and welded in crappily

Around Christmas time I got a 4 inch Procomp lift and doetsch tech shocks, I also spent the entire 2 week break sanding the truck getting it ready for paint.[IMG][/IMG]
