So I tested my fuel pump and found out its not working. So I removed the one from my 87 parts truck to swap in and it wont fit. It seems as if the 87 has a deeper tank. Is this true or am I doing something wrong?
Does the 87 have a larger capacity?
Thanks

sweet project! not sure on the fuel cap. on those runners, but it is entirely possible that the 87 has a different setup. some things changed in 86 when 4runners began to differ from trucks a little more.

Thanks for the response. Does anyone know the capacity of the 85 vs. the 87?

So I finally got a rola roof rack. Its the basket type. Im looking to bolt it directly onto my fiberglass top. Wheres the best place to drill holes? Ive heard that theres steel going through the top in certain places. Does anyone have a diagram or anything that could help me decide where to drill?

Its good to see you went ahead and painted the engine bay, good choice. Great build up by the way.
