I have an '85 reg cab 4x4,22 r, 5 spd. Bought it in like '96. Been on the back burner and my mind ever since. Want to figure out how to send pics before I start thread. Long way from what yours looks like.

thanks all you guys!! i deserve no credit for the current condition of the rig i bought it that way. only major thing i did was bumpers and sliders. i will maintain its awesomeness with great attention to detail and diligence. i will also continue to add to its glory..... haha. i love this friggin truck

do you have high steer? what makes up that 4" of lift? RUF, Chevies, f-150 springs, ect?? Nice truck by the way!
Mines has been under slow and steady "rock crawling" construction lately. Your truck kinda looks like mine expect i don't have the graphics...

Jessie if i may give you a little advice. You have a very nice truck as many of us have stated. Might be a good idea to take some initiative and learn what you have, how to maintain it, and how to improve upon your existing rig. We all love the 84-85 rigs and you are one lucky guy to have a nicely built one at that but it would be a shame to let it go to waste (not saying you're wasting it) with lack of knowledge and lack of care. Just an idea that you may have already thought of. Kinda like owning a puppy for the first time. You have to know how to take care of it properly and by doing that you have to know what breed or in this case what truck you have or what has or hasn't been done to it. By doing so you can really find out what that truck is capable of.

ps it looks as though you have high steer but to be sure post a pic of your driver's side frame rail at the steering box. Also one more thought what kind of anti theft devices do you have if any and feel free not to post them just think about getting something if you have yet to do so. Something like a hidden cut off for the fuel pump, alarm you get the point. You might not know what you have til it's gone and i would hate to see that happen as i have had the bad luck of loosing a rig before.

thanks for your concern mighty mouse. i do have high steer, the invoice of the work that was done to it by the prev owner (he had a shop do it) was in the glove box. Sometimes i may not know technical terms and such, but i have an extensive network of close gearhead friends with shops, garages, and tools to help me if needed. So whenever something gets replaced fixed or otherwise then i will know what was done or "it" is. As for what it can do, i find that out each time im out on the trail. so far it can pretty much do anything i need it to do; im not real hard core, just enough. I do have an alarm on it too!

Thats a friggin clean truck, man!! Love the stripes, never get rid of those, seriously.
As for the fender: remove the corner lamp, i think theres a bolt there. There are NO TACK WELDS at all just bolts. The top however, is kinda stuck on good. Some kind of sealent i guess, just use controlled strengh and pull slowly.
Ps: So those are 35x12.5Km2s on15x8? They look fantastic!! Man, im kickin myself for not going bigger. (I got new 33s and theyre starting to look puney!)
