Thumbs up 3linked84's 1984 Pickup Build-Up Thread

Well from the begining, I always wheeled a Cherokee and i work for toyota, everybody i usually wheel with have toyota's and dont work for toyota so i decided it's time represent. So I bought a carbed 84 off a guy at work i did a efi conversion and just enjoyed the gas milage while we did a build on my brothers 85 runner. so on to the plan.

duel transfer cases twin shifters
5.29 and e lockers f&r
all pro 6in lift in rear
custom 3 link in front 14in fox air shocks
hopeing to do 37x13.50 15 pit bull rockers
15x10 cheap steel rims and weld on beadlocks
and all the little things in between.

I used to wheel the XJ too back in the day. Looks like you got a serious build on your hands. Are those your welders in the background...jelous.

rear axle with the e locker in

here is the last test fit before welding up the perches and shock mounts

looks great!!!!! getting my 83 all pro springs on this week. I have the 14 inch fox shocks for the front but they were too big for the hoops. had to go with 12 inch using the 14 inch for the rear. wonder if it may be an issue....

Yea we are suprised how smooth its gone. With Travis having the axles cleaned up before hand and Dan cutting off all the brackets and smoothing the frame in front its going quick.
