Well that didn't work! I called them and talked to Kenny the owner and he looked it up and told me that they can get a rubber gasket for the 79-83 models but the 84-85 are a 3 piece set. I told him he did it on another truck with th 1 piece rubber. He suggested I bring in the truck which I told him I lived in Utah, then he got another phone call and blew me off

I don't understand what you mean. When i do a search for the 84 front windshield rubber gasket "nothing comes up" If you know where I can find it Please let me know.I can find it for the 79-83 trucks but I guess there was a design change. I'm almost positive that the 79-83 windshields are different then the 84-85 If you look at the pics of the guy putting the windshield in it looks to be a 1 piece rubber gasket.......I sure wish Kenny at Browns Glass was more helpful...............

Sorry about the delay. I called Kenny and he mentioned to me it was a Universal Molding, no part number. He went with the thicker 5/8 and 21 or 22 millimeter. He also stated he had to splice and heat the corners so it would have a snugger fit. I went to a few auto glass places and they stated they couldn't use a universal molding because of the corner, but Kenny was familiar with it because he worked for Toyota in the 80s. I hope this helps.

So with that information in hand, unless I could find a "Kenny" in Utah I should just go with the stock moldings and scrape the idea of the 1 piece rubber. Not the look that I wanted but seems there's not other choice. I guess I could take off the moldings (which are all there) and powder coat them black to get the look I want.
Thanks again for the info

Hi there,
I m new on the site. First of all, even though this conversation is 3 years old, it’s brand new to me so let me tell you how amazing I find your job on this beautiful truck.
I’m in France and I just found my base for what will probably be the first Marty Mc Fly SR5 in France. I ve spent the last 3 years looking for it and I just got hold of what is obviously the best I can find on this side of the Atlantic ocean.
lots of work to do but the truck has been taken care of. This will help a lot I think.
I would really appreciate if you could send me the mail you sent to the Australian gentleman for the set of bars measurements.
I ll do my best to make this truck a descent tribute to Movie s one.
Now, I just wonder for the roll bars if I should stick to the first version or if I should go for the one that is shown in the second movie. Any advice from aficionados will be extremely appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Best regards. Stephane.
So proud to present to you guys my project car

I'd do nothing on that Toyota but maintenance and needed repairs, it looks very good in white.
Congrats and welcome!

Hello from Australia,
Love the build and appreciate the posts! I'm currently in the process of building my own BTTF Toyota Truck, however I'm finding it very hard to locate a set of smitty bilt bars.
I've decided to fabricate my own set but in need of some measurements, also can you please verify if the front and rear bar is 3" tube bar?
Thank you!!
