What kind of calipers did you use and what's the backspacing on your rims? I'm about to do a vented rotor swap on my '81 and I've heard some people say you don't need spacers others say you do. Just trying to do some pre-planning (buying) before I dive into it.

took my starter out and found that the plunger was sticking. some lube fixed it right up and i was able to drive her home. shortly after that i went and picked up a camper shell for free. it almost fits perfect but it will only be used when i need it

only because i just went to pick it up. it didnt have any hardware and it was sitting for three years. i will only be using it when i need it. most of the time it will just be a truck with no shell

i wish lol. i been busy with my 4runner that this as been stripped. well the interior has because i was gonna redo it. after my pismo trip. im gonna be putting it back together. plans was to redo a cab i just got but i just dont have the time or room right now.
plans was to restore it to factory condition with upgrades along the way. once i get the time, im gonna build everything else up. suspension, lockers, dual cases, and pretty much everything other than looks (interior and exterior)

Holy Crapoli! lol.... Did you post a pic of you towing this thing on your other thread? Anyway, WOW, great work, Toyo! VERY nice! I have a neighbor with an 80 that is VERY clean, long bed... SAME color. Guy is original owner, 82K miles! hahaha.. He told me, when I walked up to him... "DON'T EVEN ASK... I see your Yota and I know what's coming next... I WONT SELL, so don't bother!" hahahah... "Just wanted to say, 'NICE RIG, SIR', that's all, no worries".
GREAT info on this thread, Toyo... Keep up the great work

I picked up a cab a while back and was towing the cab on my trailer. The current body looks like it had work done to it and was gonna swap cabs. Now I'm just gonna leave it. I still wanna build this up but as you can see the runner keeps me busy

so i decided to start building this thing. at 1st i was gonna get it to look nice and close to stock before doing anything else. now im gonna do it the other way around. build it up to rock crawl. than if i feel like it, make it look nice inside than out.
been collecting parts for a month or two now. i have just about everything i need to get this thing going. i just need to find time to get my co worker/friend to help me with the install. mainly the welding
teaser pic!
picked up another complete axle armored and guessed already. gonna be used to fit a elocker. upgraded to v6 calibers and rotors too. my 82 is a 4 speed so i also picked up a 5 speed and second t case ready to be taken apart so i can go dual case
trail gear complete 4 inch front and rear. shocks, mounts, hoops, flip kit. everything needed to do the lift minus the welder lol
this is what i currently do with an IFS, cant wait too see what i can do with a SA

i was trying to get the 82 to feel as nice as my 88 on the inside but after having a pretty well rounded 88. i figure the 82 is gonna be for more hardcore stuff. both are not daily drivers
